The SANY SAC1600S is a 160-tonne all-terrain crane with a seven-section main boom extending to 73 m. The standard 18 m jib can be extended to 32 m using two optional 7 m sections.
Its five-axle chassis uses hydro-pneumatic suspension and all-wheel steering. The standard Mercedes-Benz OM460LA.E3A engine produces 360 kW at 1,800 rpm, paired with a ZF automatic transmission with 12 forward and two reverse gears.
The brochure specifies a maximum lifting height of 100.5 m with the optional extended jib configuration.

Seven-section boom
A 13.6–73 m U-shaped main boom uses a single-cylinder pin telescoping system. An 18 m jib is standard.
